I like to have alot of friends (Farang males only).
Do the above sentences ring a bell for anyone here? People who are involved in internet chat with Thai females will have definitely heard the above sayings more than a few times. What does it mean? Why are these Thai females only looking for foreign male friends? I mean, don’t they ever get out back home?
Well if you’ve come across the above phrases my friends, you’ve stumbled upon a scam. Yes, the ‘I just wanna be your friend’ scam! This scam is quite prolific on the internet and it’s also designed to drag the lonely foreign Wannabe Romeo in to deceive him.
How does it work?
Well the girl approaches you or it could be the other way around. Anyways, you both get to chatting and the girl tells you she’s single. So obviously, you being a lonely desperado in need of female company are all ears at this stage. You’re already mentally undressing her from the sexy pics she’s sent you.
You try your best to impress her. You talk nicely to her and try to come across as the perfect gent. Then to your utter dismay she drops the bomb on you, ‘I’m just look for good friend!’
After all, those hours trying to impress her, pretending that you’re the best thing that could ever happen to this girl, she comes out with this pile of shit! Now why would she want you as a friend? The mystery deepens!
Well first off, she is trying to give you false hope. She will probably lead you on in some way. In addition, you will be led to believe that if you play your cards right this could go further than just friends, it might blossom! She could become the love of your life, and the two of you will live in happy bliss for the rest of your days! Right? Wrong!
This is what she’s hoping you’ll think. The reality behind this charade is simply that she wants you for your money. And this is the good bit, the one that will make you roll over and pee your pants…. she’s not even willing to sleep with you to get it! How about that….. she’s in all sense of the word a brass who won’t sleep with her punters but expects a payday in return for nothing! Great deal, don’t you think?
Whenever she needs money she’ll call on you for it, after all, you’re her friend, right? When she wants to go out on the town, guess who is footing the bill? Yes, you! After all, you’re her friend ain’t ya! When her old blind drunk alcoholic father falls of his buffalo and breaks his leg, whom is she going to call?

Sit down and do the math for a minute people, If she has a few friends like you, it adds up to a nice monthly income. Of course, she and her Thai boyfriend are having a good laugh at your expense.
